Everything you need to know before your visit.

What is clay shooting?
Clay pigeon shooting is a sport where participants use shotguns to shoot at flying clay targets launched into the air at high speed. It’s one of the fastest growing outdoor activities in the UK.
Who is clay shooting suitable for?
Clay shooting is suitable for everyone — from complete beginners to experienced shots. We welcome individuals, families, corporate groups, stag and hen parties, and birthday groups. No experience is necessary.
What about safety?
Safety is our number one priority. All sessions are supervised by qualified instructors who provide a full safety briefing before any shooting begins. All equipment is provided and maintained to the highest standards.
What sort of shooting can I expect?
We offer a variety of clay targets including driven birds, crossers, rabbits, and teal. Our 400 acres of woodland provide a stunning natural backdrop with varied and challenging target presentations.
Can I bring my friends or mates?
Absolutely! We cater for groups of all sizes. Whether it’s a group of mates, a stag or hen do, a birthday party, or a corporate day out — we’ll make it a day to remember.
Do I need training?
No prior training is needed. Our qualified instructors will teach you everything you need to know, from how to hold the gun to reading the targets. Most beginners are breaking clays within minutes.
Can I get refreshments?
Yes. Our refurbished clubhouse offers on-site catering ranging from light snacks and hot drinks to full gourmet meals for corporate and group events.
Do I need any special clothing?
Dress for the weather — sturdy footwear is a must as the woodland ground can be muddy. We recommend layers and a waterproof jacket. All safety equipment (ear and eye protection) is provided.
Is it expensive?
Clay shooting is very affordable. Have-a-Go sessions start from £65 per person with everything included. Competition entry starts from £28. We also offer membership which gives discounts on clays and cartridges.
What are your opening times?
CPSA competition shoots run on scheduled dates from 9:00am. Have-a-Go sessions, corporate days, and coaching are available by appointment throughout the week. Please contact us to arrange a session.
How do I become a member of your club?

Do I need to be a member to shoot at your club?
No, you don’t need to be a member. Have-a-Go sessions and corporate days are open to everyone. However, membership gives you discounts on clays, cartridges, and priority booking for events.
